Hey, pigeon! What's wrong with you? (somewhere, here in Venice, Italy). We have tons of pigeons here in Venice. Pigeons (“columba livia”) are diurnal birds who are used to live comfortably in our city environment, they are clever enough to survive and to proliferate in abundance. However, I have some doubts about their smartness... Turists often trample on them or kick them mercilessly. Seagulls can eat them easly. During their flights, they often bump up against windows. Little sparrows steal often the food from their beak. I wonder why they prefer walking to flying, even to cross a bridge... They are everywhere, a little bit intrusive and sometimes aggressive. Their excrements on your (new) suit are too bad! But the worst damage is concernig monuments, because these excrements are acids and damage these precious and ancient stones. Moreover, they carry diseases which are not so good for human race. This pigeon seems to feel shame for all these bad things against Venice. So, turists: welcome to Venice! But, please, don't feed or touch our pigeons!
