An image captured on a 2 day backpacking trip through the Columbia River Gorge. Taken in mid-May when water levels in the Gorge were high, due to heavy rainfall. The scramble down to this location requires a good deal of caution, as the rock ledge I shot this from was the last safe haven between me and a very dangerous natural water slide. As I was setting up this shot, around 4 in the afternoon, the clouds/fog cleared off for 20 min. of unforgettable light.
