Today, a lyrical verse. Indeed. To all those loving the blue sky and the midday light. Ahem. I clear my throat. So:
"WHY ?"
I know it's short. "Young man, I am afraid your speech was a trifle short. You could have said at least one hundred other things, varying the tone of your words," would says Cyrano. We, photographers, are trying to tell stories, for viewers to stop, to think, to imagine, to feel. For this purpose, we need to include in your work some talkative signs. A blue sky as a zen symbol, a display to show some kind of inner void, the emptiness by way of existence… Why not? But mainly, a blue sky is a lack of sign. Sometimes, we think, well, there is no choice, when a beauty lays below a blue sky. However, there is always a solution. Mine is to fill the frame with earth, to even forget there is a sky. But not today.
