Taken on July 16, 2012.

On July 16, a Monday, my family and I went for a walk on the ground of our hotel. We actually wanted to take pictures of ourselves, but then I saw a dragonfly sitting on a plant looking like a palm.
It just sat there and enjoyed the sunlight. First I took my zoom and took pictures of it while I was about 5 metres away from it. Then I thought: Hey, it is not moving, let's try to get nearer to it and I changed my lens to my 50mm and it still did not move! And finally I did something I could not believe myself: I put my closeup filter on and was only about 10-15cm away from this beautiful dragonfly! Haha, it was just looking at me the whole time, watching what the girl with the big black camera did.
There was also a white dragonfly sitting some metres away, and I also took pictures of it, but I could not decide which one to take for my this-weeks. the other one will also be uploaded soon!

Camera: Nikon D5000
