These beech trees were planted along an old country road in northern Ireland in the 1600s. Beech trees are very resistant to disease and so they still stand today. This site is only approximated on the map below. To get to it, you really need to ask the locals, who have such a strong accent, it's a challenge to understand them, even if your first language is English! They really are called the Dark Hedges, and it's best if you say it out loud with a scary sounding Vincent Price voice: the Daaaaaark Heeeeeeedges. :-P
