This shallow loch at the bottom of Glencoe's impressive Three Sisters is Loch Achtriochtan. It is very shallow and prone to generating some superb reflections. During the middle of Spring the afternoon sun lights up the loch and the vertical cliffs beyond and the golden reflection is frequently revealed. On this occasion a slight breeze marred the mirror reflection I had initially hoped for but the movement of the water and the softening of the complex reflection did help to make the minute landscape of island reeds stand out much more prominently.
