No matter what is said or thought of me I retain my integrity and my faith.
No matter how many tears I shed I will always be able to hold my head high.
No matter what path I walk I now know that all of us walk alone.
No matter how hard the wind blows I have my hands to shelter my eyes, and I will never lose sight of that which I am meant to see.
No matter what impact I make on another I know that at the end we are all just dust blowing in that wind.
No matter how cold it will get my blood flows hot and my dreams will keep me warm at night.
No matter how the years will steadily steal my youth, my heart will always stay foolish.
For me to start afresh I symbolically bury that broken pot, for some things cannot be mended. And from the river inside my heart I take the mud that soaks the edge, and I create a new pot. One that is all of my own, for as Oscar Wilde so eloquently put it, “to love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance”.
