Just like the saying, "A shoemaker's sons go barefoot", a photographer doesn't have a decent photo of his own hot rod...

It looks better in real life, anyway...

It's a 1929 Ford and I have owned it since 2009. It was a California car and is now registered in Arizona.

This early Model A is ALL STEEL with a TCI 4-wheel independent chassis, rack and pinion steering, 3.54 positraction rear end, Wilwood disk brakes all around, vintage Halibrand wheels with knockoffs, Chev 350 V8 (5.7L), automatic transmission.

In this configuration, it was originally a VERY well-built, show quality car. All the suspension is chrome plated steel or polished stainless or aluminum, including the driveshaft and battery box.

Things I've done include some suspension tuning along with new tires, larger LED taillights (so people can actually see my brake lights in the sunshine) the 2" chopped windshield and posts, the dropped headlight bar and some wiring changes, including a Signal Dynamics self-cancelling turn signal module, designed for custom motorcycles. The headlights have also been changed since this photo was taken :-)

Please, no need to vote, is just a "record" shot showing my street rod...
