Heading north on I-5 took us through Dunsmuir and thought it would be fun to show the kids the small, but pretty Sweetbriar Falls. It's just a matter of pulling off the freeway at Sweetbrier Rd (spelled wrong on street sign), parking west of the tracks and walking 100 yards to the falls across the Sacramento River. We were hopping to see more snow on the falls, but there were only a few traces from the last storm.
I took a handful of compositions but this is by far my best because it's something I've never tried before. I placed this tree prominently in the foreground filling the left side of the frame. This doesn't show the entire waterfall, but it includes my favorite section with the mossy rocks on the right dotted with autumn colors. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.g
