Here's an another resurrected photograph from my dusty hard drive.
I've taken this shot during the random walkabout at the Mina Port Zayed in Abu Dhabi. I had no idea this fishing boat graveyard even existed but when I spotted it, it was almost like a revelation. So many 'fine art' photo-ops!
Abu Dhabi is such a tidy, brand new and highly built-up city so it's very rare to find places that looked
like they belonged to a different place in a different time.
These abandoned boats were battered and bruised reminders of resilient people who lived their lives of sweat and blood and withering monuments of the changing tides.
Time catches up with all of us.
Photographed with Canon PowerShot G11 compact camera, processed and comped with scanned, old textured canvas for that stylized, aged look. Hope you like it!
