Hotel Gounod has been without any doubt the most bizarre of the hotels I have ever been on business trips. It is located in Saint-Remy-en Provence, in South France, and I visited it few months ago on a business meeting of a couple of days. The hotel is full of religious decorative items all around, brought by guests over years and years. I will never forget the feeling when I arrived at 23:30 and opened the hotel door and the reception was dark, full of statues of saints and virgins of my size. The hotel is full of rooms and corners with a very special character, I would say more misterious than religious. This is why I made no doubt to take the several exposures to make an HDR which is an excellent technique to provide a magic atmosphere to the pictures. This shot had a window in the middle which was calling the attention of the eyes immediately when opening it, so I decided to use it to bring my little misterious contribution to the location.
