I'm a "nice" photographer. When I see people taking pictures of each other, I almost always offer to shoot the whole group together. I'm constantly amazed at how people refuse to get in close and take a nice portrait.

Anyway. I was at the fountain in Millennium Park and there was a family of attractive Indian women. Daughter, mom and grandmother. Mom had a pretty good Canon DSLR and I could just tell she was taking really wide, long shots. I offered my services and took a couple really nice portraits of them.

And in handing the camera back to mom, I asked if I could shoot grandmother. "She's so beautiful."

My request was granted and here she is. I think she is magnificent. I was SO happy I had just switched from Tri-X to Portra.

I guess this is SOOC. God, I hate that snotty term.
