Cranky Rock, near Warialda in the north-west slopes region of New South Wales, Australia; about 7 hours drive north of Sydney. A quiet nature reserve surrounds these interesting stacks of boulders, and the area is abundant with birds and wild animals. I made this brief visit late in the afternoon. There was a little more water in the creek than usual, adding some nice smooth movement to the foreground. From mid-winter the whole area is dotted with the yellow flowering wattles; one of which is perched on the rocks.
