One of two baby Leopard Cats born a few weeks ago at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Chonburi Province, Thailand.

There are twelve subspecies of Leopard Cats found in the wild, widely distributed throughout South and Southeast Asia. Although only distantly related, they are considered as belonging to the Leopard family.

While sadly they are still hunted for their fur, for food, and as pets, and there is continual loss of their natural habitat, Leopard Cat populations in the wild are still fairly abundant and, as such, are stated as Least Concern on the conservation list.
