This here is Lat Tai, the mate of Sen Lek.

Lai Tai was also born at Khao Kheow Open Zoo and shares a joining enclosure with Sen Lek; while they do get to spend time together, it's only when one of the handlers can be around to observe them, as KKOZ currently has 34 of these marvellous cats to care for (and possibly a new one on the way next month!), and they don't wish to take on more than they can handle, which of course is understandable and responsible.

Capturing the current shots I've been showing you of these juveniles (I believe they are still juveniles at two years of age, though I could be wrong!) is far from easy, especially when it comes to showing something reminiscent of their native habitat, as most of the vegetation in their enclosures is on ground level and Clouded Leopards tend to prefer being higher up; they have amazing balance and agility, feeling completely at ease running and walking along the thinest of branches.

The photo I uploaded yesterday and this one here are really the only two I've managed to capture so far that I didn't feel the need to completely black out the background. I hope it pleases you as much as it does me!
