I was so privileged to witness "the great migration" for the first time in my life. I don't recall many moments in my life where I was forced to just stand in a total silent amazed and stunned by what I see.

The above Mara river crossing took place last week on Wednesday 22nd of August 2012. After waiting for few good hours watching thousands and thousands of wildebeests gather near a clear entrance into the river, we ended up witnessing what most estimated 60,000+ wildebeests and few thousands of zebras crossing the river in a period of time that exceeded the three hours.

Unfortunately, it was really sad to see how some people were selfish enough to cause some interference with what was going on where cars were rushing into the scene in the middle of all the animals, disturbing them. Some were parking with their cars very close to the river crossing which made the animals uncomfortable and increased the already increased tension amongst them since they know they are about to go through a dangerous step and put their lives into risk for the sake of going forward into areas with better grass for them to feed.
