When you have come to the edge of all light and are about to drop off into the darkness, you will see a glimps of mother earth's heart. ... A photography friend and I didn't have a pass to go on the photographer's tour with a guide and we were unprepared to visit the Antelope Canyons, but we were very lucky to get the advice of a man living in Page. He told us to visit the lower Canyon (a way lesser tourists and as beautiful as the higher Canyon). He told us the best moment of the day to visit the canyon (early afternoon). He also told us to ask a native for a photographer's pass. And we got it, on one funny condition - we had to have a tripod as a proof we were 'real' photographers, but neather of us did use it finally. A three hours trip in mother Earth's womb. All my pictures are handhold and sooc ... As the man told us, we were there on the right moment. Colors were amazing. When the sun outside is high, the light comes into the canyon through small openings and every particule of those sand rock formations reflects the light. Blue, red, purple, pink, orange ... even yellow and green !!! Instead of leaving the canyon at the end (a real climb on a huge ladder) we choose to come back the same way till the entry. It was already late afternoon, the sun was low and the colours gone ... Every rock turned out orange, but still an amazing place. No words were spoken, three hours of intense silence in a state of ectasy. I never felt that close to mother earth's heart.
