In Buddhism, there is a teaching called ‘The Four lotus’ which is used to describe each person’s ability. Whether they can learn the divine teachings or not. Buddha describes people by the way of The Four lotus, which is later etched into the Tripitaka. Some people are able and willing to learn, some are not. Like the four types of lotus. The ones that can emerge from the depth to rise above and see the light are called Sammaditthi. They have a pure and open heart and can learn in little or no time. Like this lad, who is willing to open his eyes to the light, by the way of diligence, devotion, and selflessness.
