This photo was taken on the Coombra Track, Yalata. Far West Coast of Southern Australia, just before the start of the Great Australian Bight.
Its in the Yalata Aboriginal Lands heading to Wahgunyah Conservation reserve, where you have to get a prior permit through the locals who run the Indigenous Protected Area. The track is used mainly by surf fisherman looking to catch the elusive and much sort after big Mulloway.
The old holden car has scratchings all over it on the front and sides, some dating back decades with old fishing stories, of past success and failures such as dates, size and amount of fish caught and some even with names. Its completely covered in rust, and it was pretty cool to see it being used as a chalkboard and guestbook so to speak in a place so remote.
