After a sunrise shoot in Lake Bratan on a cloudy and windy morning , we drove straight to Tamblingan hoping the weather would improve so we could shoot the lake. We didn’t get our wish for the weather progressively got worst. It could easily have been an exercise in futility but suddenly out of the fog appeared this little girl in a bright red dress . She had no qualms on being photographed and was more than willing to pose for us. We spent the next 2 hours photographing her , while her brother and mother watched from a distance. After the shoot, she left on her merry way, expecting nothing in return. I had to call her back to give her a small token of thanks, which she in turn gave to her mom.
We never got to shoot the lake that morning. But we all left fulfilled knowing we got our images and more importantly, gained a new friend .
