Clydach Gorge...deep and mysterious winds it way from the top of the Heads of the Valley pass to the outer reaches of the Usk Valley. The surrounding limestone cliffs are a magnet for cavers who transverse their way through miles and miles of stalagmite caverns whilst deep in the gorge fungi and special mosses keep botanists exploring its hidden gems. For photographers its a challenge to find that lovely dappled light to show this fabulous place in all its glory as the gorge can be a dark place at times. A few waterfalls are there to challenge also.
