This was the third and final composition from one of my most memorable visits to the Mendenhall Glacier ice cave. My final thought was that, while I liked using a low angle to emphasize the foreground cascades, what I really wanted was to be able to follow the creek all the way to the very back of the image. I think this adds to the depth in the photo and subdues the foreground so that the viewer can explore the rest of the scene.
This is a stitch from three horizontal images using the shift function of my lens. I can't believe I've yet to print this.
I hope as many of you as possible get a chance to see this someday. Don't wait too long!
