Aside from a few bird shots, it's been a while since I shared any photos with you that were taken outside of Khao Kheow Open Zoo, for the simple reason that that's where nearly all my photography has taken place since the end of last year.

Well, back in July I was contacted by the managing editor of Sawasdee – the in-flight magazine of Thai Airways – who had somehow come across my work on the net. She explained that in September's issue they were looking to include a special feature on some of Thailand's national parks, and asked whether I had any related photos she could see.

Fortunately I had a few pictures and pleased to say this is one of two they chose to use. On the off chance (!) you are not planning on flying with Thai Airways this month but might be interested in reading that article, you can find it on page 30 of this link

You can find this photo on page 34, and the other photo (though much smaller!) of a Little Spiderhunter drinking nectar from a banana plant on page 35.

Not the first time I've had photos of mine in magazines, but the first time I've actually seen it for myself; the others were sold through Getty Images to European publications and I was given the information too late to seek them out. Seeing as Thailand is my home though, real happy to have this one in hand!

My family and I came across this delightful subject during a visit to Kaeng Krachan National Park in Phetchaburi Province, Thailand. The subject is a Dusky Langur aka Dusky Leaf-Monkey aka Spectacled Langur or Leaf-Monkey.
