Some of you may recall me introducing these two little sister Leopard Cat cubs previously in the posts titled Miniature Leopard as well as Dazed & Confused. This photo was taken about two weeks ago, which was about a week after the last one I showed you, and as you can see, both kittens have now mastered the art of running!

My good friend Khun Nok, who works at Khao Kheow Open Zoo's animal hospital, as always tried her best to help me capture the portraits I wanted, but the cubs had other plans! Each time Khun Nok attempted to place the sisters at the distance I wanted them from the place I was lying, for some reason off they shot in an eastward direction; not that there was anything of any particular interest for them over there, they just seemed to be strangely drawn that way.

Seeing my friend running after them, then picking them up and bringing them back again three or four times, a couple of thoughts dawned on me: it didn't seem quite fair that I was letting her do all the running about, and it would probably be a lot better if on her next trip back I simply moved eastward myself and lay down again in preparation for cub's next release in the hope they'd run straight at me!

Although this idea worked a charm, for all the shots I fired off, only a handful were well enough focused for me to work with, and of those this is my favourite, as I managed to capture both sisters in the same frame without them overlapping. While I would love for you all to have seen them in action like this delightful as they were, hopefully you will at least be able to enjoy this single frame.

Thanks for all your kind words on yesterday's Clouded Leopard cub, and wishing you all a wonderful week ahead :^)
