The best week of light I've had all year was earlier this winter at Death Valley and this is where it started, a thunderstorm right at sunset in the middle of the Ibex Dunes.

I ran all over the dunes littering them with my footprints trying to get different perspectives with this rainbow, and completely eliminated any possibility for clean compositions the next morning. I have more to share from this night but this is one of my favorites.

Also - tomorrow I'm heading out on a fall colors trip that will last through the end of October, starting in the Canadian Rockies and going through New England and then the Blue Ridge mountains. I will not be posting any new photos during that time, I hope everyone has a productive autumn, my favorite time of year for photography.
