It's hard waiting for the next shoot to start. I have been searching for the right model for it with no luck for weeks. My oft used model Ed Barron, pictured here, is not right for this particular shoot, but will be back again I hope in the future.

So what is one to do between shoots, when the shots run dry and there is nothing to work on? Well, this is number four in a series of these shots using a large picture frame as a prop. I didn't know what I would be doing with it when I bought it, but it quickly turned into a self portrait frame for Dr. Henry Jekyll's alter ego. I then used it as a slightly surreal overlay window in an immigrant's tale in "That Was Another Country." That one did really well for me, and I found a similar use for the frame session shots in "Weather With You" again, using the negative space of the frame as a portal to somewhere or something else, this time a change in weather.

So, perhaps this is once to many times to the well, but the message of this one is optimism - the shape of things to come. There will be light, and color and hope, where there was once desolation and murk.
