So what is one to do between shoots, when the shots run dry and there is nothing to work on? Well, this is number four in a series of these shots using a large picture frame as a prop. I didn't know what I would be doing with it when I bought it, but it quickly turned into a self portrait frame for Dr. Henry Jekyll's alter ego. I then used it as a slightly surreal overlay window in an immigrant's tale in "That Was Another Country." That one did really well for me, and I found a similar use for the frame session shots in "Weather With You" again, using the negative space of the frame as a portal to somewhere or something else, this time a change in weather.
So, perhaps this is once to many times to the well, but the message of this one is optimism - the shape of things to come. There will be light, and color and hope, where there was once desolation and murk.
