This photograph was taken in one of the largest street scaffolding ever built, during the renovation of the famous French department store Le Printemps on Boulevard Haussman.

As much as I enjoy playing with the laws of optics, I always found that the so called "little planet" effect was a useless gizmo in photography... until then. The ceiling was so low it gave me the idea to reverse the planet upside down and use the shelves installed a bit lower to support tools and material as an extra feauture (on the left).

Needless to mention, I had to wait for an opportunity when all the workers were away (during Christmas eve) and constantly avoid the rounds of security guard, while keeping the tripod in place so as to stitch this image together efficiently when all the photos were done.

So this is my ninja photo in a forbidden but beautiful place. Beautiful to me at least... I hope you enjoy it! ;)
