Spent the day at Appleton Farms as part of my Digital Camera Field Class with REI Outdoor School. Learned some basic technical skills -- things I need to know, but often ignore (e.g., ISO, light metering, aperture and shutter speed settings, AWB) and discussed composition skills such as the rule of thirds, cropping and other techniques, which help to make a great photo.

I was so excited when I saw the cows...I'd been dying to take pictures of cows all week. Had some fun ideas for composition rolling around my head and was able to satisfy some of those creative ideas.
