Kananaskis Country is a quiet gem of Rocky Mountains and foothills west of Calgary, Alberta. As you can see, the valleylands are a great place to make autumn photographs.

I made this picture in mid-afternoon, normally not a great time for pictures. But in Alberta, the sun is far enough south by late September to make the light useful.

I used a polarizing filter and tripod for this scene, made along a barely used country road.
