After passing through the "Time Portal" (that was posted to my gallery a few days ago) we traveled deeper into the jungle, only to find that we had passed into the Cretaceous Period (145.5–65.5 million years ago.) It was then that we came face to face with a Giganotosaurus!

Giganotosaurus means "giant southern lizard" because it was discovered in South America. Giganotosaurus was even larger than the more famous Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Giganotosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex did not live at the same time - they were separated by 30 million years. It was a carnivore with serrated teeth that preyed upon large plant eating dinosaurs.

We were lucky to make it out of there alive! ;)
