The Arabica coffee trees begin flowering with the rainy season in early October. With the first rays of the morning sun the flowers blossom out, at sunset they turn already brown and wither. The Arabica coffee tree is self fertile, thus it actually does not require bees for pollination. However, since bees pollinate the flowers in addition, coffee growers and beekeepers work together: this increases the production of the coffee trees.
