Taken at Raymond Barlow Birds in Flight Workshop. Shot in a controlled environment. The Canadian Raptor Conservancy is a place where they rehabilitate, breed, train and sell raptors for all kinds of services. For sale to rich enthusiasts, rehabilitate injured birds of the area, breed endangered raptors from all over the world in hopes to reintroduce into the wild, etc. The shots I have were made during a session where they fly the birds for show and exercise from a post to the handler. Photographers are allowed to take photographs while they fly and exercise. The workshop helps pay for the food and care for the birds. Its a wonderful experience and these captive birds are every bit as fast and difficult to shoot as a wild bird. Thanks Raymond Barlow for this experience!
