A little change of pace from the landscapes...... This was the only hole I could find in the abandoned Sunny Acres juvenile detention facility. This awesome old building started as an orphanage, then served as a TB sanitarium and finally became the juvenile hall. It was condemned and vacated years ago--I was told for not being up to snuff with structural earthquake codes--one of the old employees was out for a walk and stopped to give me the history of the building. I had completely forgotten about this building and am so happy I stumbled upon it. There were asbestos warnings everywhere and all the windows/doors were boarded up--such a bummer! I found a small hole about 85mm in diameter--a PERFECT fit for the 77mm Sigma 10-20 with enough room to get the camera level. I couldn't see anything so was just psyched what the long exposures would show me. After seeing the 90 second exposure it's official...I'm breaking in.
