Memories of Victoria, Australia Melbourne, 墨尔本 #01

Drop by my Facebook Page for the latest. Due to heavy time constraints, I’ve minimised all activities here but should you be interested, I’ve relegated most photographs to my Sets. I am currently refining my passion in the invisible spectrum (UV-VIS-NIR) while at the same time exploring the basics and challenge of wide-field astrophotography with a DSLR in a light polluted city.

Have a great life ahead!

Melbourne City Skyline
~ a view from Princes Bridge

This is a first of my mini-series on Victoria, Australia; taken during a very short family getaway in April 2012. As it was a "guided tour", I could not afford the best of times to do justice to such a beautiful city. Nevertheless, I do hope you (and especially Australians) like them. Have a great weekend!

[the boring bits] It was a clean (air) Autumn morning and the overall contrast was manageable. While waiting for the day's tour to start, I walked halfway across the Princes Bridge (from Flinders Street Railway Station) and chanced upon this composition when I half-turned my head back. All that I need was something to fill the foreground. Alas! The rowers came to my rescue!

* For my Facebook friends, the complete series (rejects & also-rans) is in my FB page
