We came to visit the Ethiopian church a little before noon on a Saturday. Taking off our shoes, we entered the round building. The floors in the church are all covered by carpets, and a smell of incense constantly permeates the air. It is big, circular and very quiet.
No one else was there except for a priest and a nun who were quietly conversing with each other. I asked if it was alright to take a photo and although the nun was reluctant, the priest gladly agreed. He turned towards me in his chair, and sat in this peaceful manner. It was obvious that he enjoyed the attention and was quite used to having his photo taken by visitors. He then asked me to show him the screen of my camera, and liked it very much.
