The "Umbrellas" sculpture on
Thessaloniki’s new sea front is
a 13-metre high artistic creation.
The work was created by
Georgios Zoggolopoulos (1903-2004).
It is a poetic creation, which
expresses the endless vitality of its
creator. It is a pole of attraction
for both residents and visitors.
Depending on the season
and the weather, it imbues a different
image on the space and environment. I took this long exposure (4 minutes) shot with extremely cold (below 0) that night, rare temperature rates for Greece.
