They held each other like this for one long moment. Then, gradually, she started to resist, but weakly, as if against her own will. He looked into her eyes with wistful anxiety; and the look she gave back spoke of hidden, inconsolable despair. She tried to smile and her eyes filled with tears, but then her resistance quickened until she was almost pushing away and he was holding onto her with desperate force. Then, with a sharp bang of light, she was up in the air, and he found himself covered in beautiful white feathers. As she rose into the air, she looked down at him sorrowfully, as if trying to communicate something; then turned and continued to float away. He stood in the field, clutching the feathers, trembling ecstatically with emotion, looking forlornly up into the sky.
