Capturing seascapes takes a lot of preparation, especially when you find a great spot out on an island at low tide. I took my son with me and had him push the shutter release on the remote, while I handheld the gnd filter and polaraizer over the lens. Waiting for the perfect moment, and caught up in the moment, we both overlooked the rising tide. When we turned around to depart, we were surrounded by 3 ft of rushing water 150 ft from the beach. I cant recall ever feeling panic like I did at this time, as well as feeling completly irresponsible for getting my son in this situation. After getting a feel for the timming of the waves, we made a mad dash for shore. My son is a trooper. Later that night, he asked me with excitment if we would be going back out to shoot sunset on the beach the next night.
