This is Francesca, a girl I met almost as soon as I came to Rome this spring.
We met on a bus, I told her i'm a photographer and after a nice chat, gave her my card.
Since then, we always stayed in touch, mostly via Facebook and this summer, one night, we met for a beer and for a healthier chat than the one you could do behind a monitor.
What really surprised me is that, despite her "mean girl" look, she's pretty damn adorable (pssst, don't tell her or she'll get mad).
But since she's into Rap and Hip Hop music, i kinda wanted to take a portrait of her in a hoodie, being a little mean or at least not "all happy smilin' " so we met up tonight and took this photo.
Funny thing is that as soon as I set up the lights the way i had previously thought, the photo came out by itself. A few clicks and we nailed it :)
On a totally unrelated topic, I'm leaving tomorrow morning SUPER EARLY for PARIS!
On the 8th of November, with my buddy Sio, we're gonna present our book in a cool bookshop and I couldn't miss the chance of exploring the city a little so I decided to leave a day earlier for Paris in order to have a nice "street photography" day.
So I probably won't be able to post tomorrow's and the day after tomorrow's picture of the day.
You'll hear back from me on Friday. Wish me luck!
