One of the most intense sunsets I've ever witnessed, at Grand Teton National Park last year.

Danny Seidman ( and I thought we missed the peak light but there was a break on the horizon and we were treated to over 30 minutes of crazy light, starting with orange, then red, and then finally some subtle pinks at dusk (as shown in this photo).

We weren't exactly graceful getting stuck in the snow several times (despite wearing snowshoes) on the way out to the Snake River, but the payoff was more than worth the small amount of effort.

I'm looking forward to getting out and capturing some winter scenes this year, snow is in the forecast and I can't wait.
