In the mean time, here is on of my first shots from the best conditions I've ever had here. This is Manzanita Lake under the Choas Crags in Lassen. Lassen Peak is just out of the frame to the right. +Crystal Leslie and I were the only people there hiking out around the lake in the snow. It was so beautiful that we had to make a pack not to stop along the way to shoot or we would get around the lake for the comps we knew we wanted. We even got the see a Bald Eagle.
It was cold, but there wasn't any wind, about a foot of fresh snow and the clouds really lit up for us. Other than some contrast adjustments, this color is all straight out of camera. This shot is why I love landscape photography. I've shot here 5 times prior and never really got anything I'd brag about. Yet this sixth with all the adventures along the way has made some amazing memories and experiences money and Favs can't buy.
Thanks for looking, see you when I get back!
