As you're masticating vigorously while watching your favorite TV show, you suddenly feel something hard to chew on, but quickly dismiss any possibility of danger and start swallowing. That's when it hits you. Out of air, coughing your lungs out, you suddenly muster all of your strength that's left and call an ambulance. You're blacking out, but keep on hanging on with the tiny bit of air that you can barely inhale and exhale. Finally, a knock on the door. You finally get to greet the only people that you ever wished to see during those moments of agony: the First Responders Paramedics.
We're always glad to see them, but when we do, it's because something's obviously gone wrong. 2 weeks ago, I was quite fortunate to encounter them for a different occasion.
Meet Michael - as a first responder paramedic, he has agreed to have a few documentary styled photos regarding his job, as well as explaining meticulously the different aspects of treating people and the equipment used for each scenario. Just like Yannick (firefighter) who was previously in my album, it's always good to be aware of how much these people are important for the public - saving lives is certainly no joke and it's an act that deserves the utmost amount of respect.
This photo will take part in the Portraits album, but you'll also see it as being part of another album on the matter of the Paramedics coverage - stay tuned for more to come!
