This pic was taken in the entrance of the Blue Mosque at the morning, so we can see the sun just to the east of this building, near of one of the six minarets of this building.

The turkish name of the Blue Mosque is Sultanahmet Camii was designed by Sedefkar Mehmet Aga disciple of the great Sinan, it was built from 1609 to 1616, during the rule of 7 years of Ahmed I. It's near of Hagia Sophia, the other great temple of Istanbul. In its inside we can see the beautiful blue mosaics of Iznik, that gives its popular name.

When it was built there was a confrontation, because any building cannot have more minarets than the Mecca's Mosque, in this way was added one more minaret to this mosque reaching 7 minarets.

It's one of the most beautiful buildings that I ever seen and it's the symbol of Istambul city.
