We hiked a good four miles down a stretch of the Oregon Coast that is notorious for the collecting petrified wood chunks.

Myrtlewood is the dominant type of petrified wood in the area.

After an enjoyable Mexican dinner, we returned to the beach to watch the sun set. Purple became the prominant color in the setting of the sun, which is common along the Orgon Coast during the Fall and Winter months.
