Friday morning was cloudless and we were quickly up onto the moor. I was keen to revisit a favourite spot where the River Coupall drops over rocky ground, quite close under the Buachaille.

I was pleased to find a reasonable spot quite quickly, and set up to wait for the first rosy light to catch the mountain. The pink spread down very quickly, and it wasn't long before the sun reached my foreground, as you'll see presently. It was a marvellous dawn, very cold and still.
