Flying slowly and hopelessly lost between ridges and rocky walls, without any landmark and unaware of my height, I gave up any claim of control about two months ago.
This disappointing truth is my only fellow traveller in this blind descent – I don't have any say in this matter, no choices, no answers, no control. There's nothing I can do, except to follow the fall and to wait for the next screen.

Sometimes you are perfectly fit and well trained, equipped at the cutting edge of the current technology. You have maps, compass and GPS, you know the route and you've been following the track with great care, rebuilding the old cairns, too. You're ready and you learn all the possible on this climb from other alpinists and handbooks, you're at your very best...
And suddenly nature, our divine masters or the almighty Fate change your situation. One second ago you were on the top of the food chain, one second after you are at the weird mercy of the chance. And there's nothing you can do, only to hold out against the world and the roar of the catastrophe until the worst will be over.

Sometimes you are on the top of the world, and sometimes all you can do is to follow anonymous ropes in your blind, foolish flight.
