After several visits to Bowling Ball Beach (located south of Point Arena), I finally caught it at a zero tide near sunset. With all the rocks (bowling balls) nicely visible, I decided the best perspective might be a "sharks-eye view," so into the ocean I went! I used a slow shutter to add a bit of movement to the breaking waves to counter the static nature of the rocks, beach, and cliffs. Captured this scene 5 minutes prior to sunset and that resulted in the warm light bathing the water and landscape.
