One of the disadvantage of living in Jakarta as a landscape/hdr/cityscape photographer is the lack of location to shoot and to practice our (dark) arts. So it has become my obsession to show my home town in a better light.
The subject of this photo is the historic roundabout in Jakarta. The Bundaran HI (Hotel Indonesia Roundabout) was built in 1960s from the vision of our founding father, Sukarno.
It has been the place for countless demonstration and rallies (which mostly unheard of the next day). At the four corners of this roundabouts, there are 4 different five star hotels, making it a prime real estate.
This photo is a digital blending of 7 exposures.
