I captured this image with my Fuji X10 whilst taking one of my fitness walks through the Oregon town of Tigard last summer. It’s a picnic table out behind the Tigard Public Library. You can see part of the library building on the left. I just saw the sun poking through the trees as it illuminated the picnic bench.
I shot three exposures (-1|0|+1) and then blended them in Photomatix to make a black and white HDR image. Then I used a cool technique that Glyn Dewis taught me to take out all the noise and make the image look smooth, painted and almost cartoonish.
