On the way back from a family day trip we had one of those "wow" moments when we turned a corner and saw the orange glow in the
sky with sun rays illuminating the mountains.
Coming out of Caloundra, we raced to the top-most point in the road and stopped to take it all in. At that point it also became clear that there were horizontal bands of colour throughout the forest.
I quickly grabbed my camera from the boot and found the best composition for the scene. No time for setting up a tripod so the 6 exposures had to be done handheld, which meant I needed a high shutter speed to compensate for any camera shake.
